Sprint Adds EV-DO Revision A Cards

Sprint announced today that it would be adding two new cards that will be complaint with its forthcoming EV-DO Revision A upgrade. The new cards are the Pantech PX-500 and the Aircard 595 from Sierra Wireless. Both cards will support speeds ranging from 450 - 850kbps. The PX-500 will be available for $199.99 or free with a two-year contract, while the Aircard 595 is $24.99 or as low as $99.99 with a two-year agreement.

But when will Sprint have an ExpressCard for those of us with the MacBook Pro… Will I really be forced to switch carriers to Verizon?

 

Ted - just talked to sprint - looks like they’ll have an express card AND a USB solution this year.

 

I have been waiting for the Express Card since August, when I discovered the compatibility problem. What are the chances that it will actually be released this year?
