Sascha Segan from Gearlog has noted a strange rumbling from the T-Mobile booth at CTIA. Featured on many of TMo’s new phones is the that five dotted logo. The logo is said to represent an, as of yet, unannounced new service. T-Mobile says that the service will be “debuting soon.” Some possibilites include GPS, personal teleporter, self-destruct or some sort of digital media delivery service (OK I made half of those up, you can guess which). What do you all think it represents?
A Gearlog Mystery: What Is This Logo? [Gearlog]

No ideas what it could be (although love the idea of a teleporter, Star Trek here we come), but that logo looks very familiar. Can’t quite put my finger on what it is, if I remember I’ll be back to report on it!

It had better be video to compete with Verizon’s VCast service. T-Mobile needs to catch up!!

I think that T-mobile is close to every other cell phoen company. their phones and the way that the company is run owns all! The monthly rates OWN! Nothing on the market is compariable to T-mobile and the line of phones the company carries. My opinion.

Later this year T-Mobile is rumored to be unveiling a plan that allows you to select 5 numbers, any 5 numbers, that you get to call unlimited for $10/mo.
Given that only phones designed to use the service will work with it, and given that the logo has 5 dots….. I’m guessing that’s what it is…
