Spinvox Moves Stateside

Posted by Nick Gonzalez

London based Spinvox is coming to the US. TechCrunch announced the US launch and handed out 100 free accounts for the voicemail to email or SMS service this morning. See our previous coverage here.

Spinvox has mainly distributed their service through carriers, but will also set up customers directly. Pricing is to be determined by carriers. Their UK prices are here. If you would like to test the service, go to their test site, call the number on the screen, and in a few minutes your message should appear on their blog.

TechCrunch suggests looking at another voicemail conversion service from Jott, that retails at $10 per month for 40 conversions.

  1. Hi, I heard that they were giving away 100 FREE accounts and I’m definitely going to get one. Can’t wait to try this out!

  2. Nick,

I’ve been testing out this service for a month and it is absolutely excellent. I get text versions of all my vmails by email and SMS and don’t have to check voicemail manually anymore. The benefits are especially appealing to someone who is travelling internationally and doesn’t have to make international calls anymore to check email. Also, one can point multiple phone numbers (e.g. work phone and mobile phone) to the Spinvox system so that all vmails are received in one place. Fantastic. This is going to be a big hit with all entreprise users as well as prosumers.

I believe Callwave and Pinger are also in this category.
