VC we don't provide the same service, nor are interested in doing what d2n is doing. I agree with what commentors left on TC, whats the point of signing up to receive alerts about your favorite places if you already know about what happens there.

You have to sign up, create an account, select, with us, text the word, get suggestions. Simple. plus, we make profit with sponsors to keep the service free.

down2night is a much more appealing concept than 2do2night. down2night lets you decide who and when you want to hear about clubs and bars. I dont want random sponsors on my phone. d2n allows for some targeted relevant information as well as couponing. Edge: d2n

And one did. We, ironically enough, had the same service, except we dont do web-phone.

We set it up where people can text in and get suggestions of nightlife in Las Vegas/Los Angeles. The messages change every week and have sponsors. That's the correct way.

test it for yourself, it is not a premium service. text 2do2night to 35350

Shouldn't this be part of the "Sponsored Links" section? Surely there are more compelling things to write about in the mobile world than down2night, who's only mobile component appears to be an SMS notification tool (which a kid in their basement could whiz together in about 15 minutes)
