Peter Ha grabbed the first images of the Helio Mysto, the successor to the Drift. It’s essentially a CDMA version of the Samsung U600. No specs yet but the U600 has:

I heard that the mysto is going to be $150 when it comes out. I wonder how well it will sell, seeing that the ocean is selling for $100 at some websites.

Well I just picked up the Mysto recently from Invicta Wireless and the really love the handset. I think one reason the Ocean did not sell well is because it’s really bulky. The Mysto is very slim and looking at the manual it says that there is an 8 hour battery life which both trumps the Helio Ocean. The price is also nice, because I was able to get it at the limited launch price of $99, which is a steal.

John Ballog’s post is inaccurate. Mysto is thus far only available at Helio Santa Monica or Helio New York (company stores). It is also available under the “Helio powered by SK Telecom” brand in Koreatowns in major cities across the US. Mysto is priced at $149 (not $99) and features three hours of talk time with 8 days of standby. The Ocean features 5.1 hours of talk time with 7 days of standby.
Expect broader availability in the very near future, but thus far it has not been available at Invicta Wireless (or any other general market retailer).
